Very British!Country estate coolness

Refined English style is the key for this season: British country style is back to bring a feeling of nature and a breath of fresh country air to modern city dwellers.

To get the perfect British look, you don't need to move to an English country home, go fox hunting, and dunk biscuits into hot tea at five o'clock sharp, though. Great Britain is coming to your wardrobe, too. The trendy style is characterized by a perfect mixture of understatement, utter charm, and a touch of humor. Anything goes and the outfit combinations are extremely versatile!

Brit chic is classic, but certainly not outdated and stale. It is not the materials such as lamb's wool, flannel, tweed, tartan, or corduroy that are surprising, but rather the styles and details. The highlights of the BOSS Fall/Winter collection 2013 are a narrow cut jacket with a pointed button-down collar and the typical flap pockets as well as a three-piece suit with an accented shoulder section.

This three-piece suit is reminiscent of the look sported by actor Jude Law in his role as Dr. Watson in the new Sherlock Holmes movies. Traditional, very British, and yet very modern. Maybe HUGO BOSS designer Kevin Lobo found his inspiration while watching the famous detective Sherlock Holmes from London's Baker Street at the cinema. He managed to turn the British look into a contemporary country style for the 21st century – with first-class stylish English details. Or, as Sherlock Holmes used to say: “Focus on the details.”
