BOSS Womenswear introducesJason Wu
Jason Wu is an exceptionally talented international fashion designer. At the age of 24, the Taiwanese designer founded his own label in New York. His style: self-confident and feminine with great attention to detail.
In June 2013, Jason Wu took up the position of Artistic Director for HUGO BOSS Womenswear, where he is now responsible for all product and image-related components of the BOSS Womenswear and accessory lines. For his BOSS Womenswear collections, Wu draws his inspiration from the fashion house’s rich tradition in tailoring. “When I came to the HUGO BOSS premises for the first time and saw the studio and the tailoring, I was fascinated. It truly is the epitome of the art of German manufacturing. The perfect craftsmanship was great inspiration for the design of the BOSS Womenswear," said Wu. In his vision, the new collection exudes power, self-confidence and femininity. "For me, that’s HUGO BOSS’s DNA." He sees the strong market position of the BOSS Menswear as a creative challenge: "I love the idea of being able to refer to the origins of menswear with its precise cuts and classic tailoring. Many details from the BOSS Menswear can be wonderfully translated into feminine looks." The first glimpse of the new BOSS Womenswear collection designed by Wu can be caught during New York Fashion Week in September, where he presents his first fourth collection for the brand.
