SUMMER BREEZETHREE HUGO TRACKS
The three latest HUGO Tracks are like a pan-European summer breeze - cool and fresh. These tracks from Stratus, David August and Bobmo are the perfect soundtracks to chill to on the beach or to make your rooftop party into your very own "Midsummer Night's Dream". All of them are available as free downloads, but you'd better be quick, because we've only got 200 of each.
Stratus is a duo from London that has been releasing their own records since 2011 and that is deeply rooted in the traditions of Balearic dance and cosmic disco. Just like a stratus cloud, their sound is layered and hazy, brimful with spacious synthesizers and breathless grooves. Their latest EP is called “Mirrors” and features five tracks that you can buy on bandcamp. But we wouldn't be HUGO Tracks if we didn't make the EP’s title track available to you as a free download in the player below. So help yourselves!
David August “Epikur”
Epikur is the German name of Greek philosopher Epicurus who lived at the end of the 4th century BC. One of his central topics was striving to release oneself from pain and suffering in order to obtain tranquility of soul. His ideas were similar to those preached by early Hedonist philosophy - and that’s what links Epicurus to the latest Hedonists in house music. House-whizkid David August erects a memorial of dance to honor Epicurus with his EP, which also celebrates the 50th release by the trend-setting, Berlin based label Innervisions.
Bobmo "When I Look (Feat. Shaun J. Wright)"
Our third track comes from Parisian producer Bobmo - a household name in club music, not only because of his constant stream of releases since 2007, but also because of the impeccable style fostered by the label Marble which he founded together with Surkin and Para One. The label’s latest release is Bobmo’s "When I Look (Feat. Shaun J. Wright)", a floor-filler celebrating everything that makes 90's house music so special, graced with soulful vocals and a bangin' bass line.
